1. I thought is was cool that Echo is an operative because she choose to "sell" five years of her life. Apparantly because she was in some form of trouble. I can't wait to find out what kind of trouble.
2. I like Topher. His flaw of "overprogramming" the operatives as in Echo's asthma and eyesight hints of a geek in a toystore.
3. I think that, or did I read that, Echoes past will manifest itself in combination with her programming. Both metaphorically and literally.
4. What's up with the Amy Acker character? My theory is she got the scars in her former roll as an operative leaving both her face and her psyche scared. _________________
- I liked Topher too.
- Amy's character's screentime was too short to form a proper opinion.I totally missed the scarring by the way.
- I liked Echo from the beginning
- Tahmoh's character is a bit underdeveloped right now, I'm not sure what to think of him. _________________ Listening to you I get the music

First of all, I have to express how freaking AWESOME it was to see the credits pop up at the beginning, with a "Created by Joss Whedon" and "Written and Directed by Joss Whedon" on-screen *squees* It's been SO LONG! Not to mention that the other people whose names appeared as producers and the like are all part of his old band of Merry Men (and Women), which just gave me a sense of nostalgia for his old shows, and added to the happiness, so YAY! I'M SO HAPPY HE'S BACK!
Onto the show itself. One of my immediate thoughts when the episode finished was "oooooooh!" Contructive and eloquent, as you can tell :-P But seriously, the ending was so intriguing and left the way open for a few theories already on what might be in-store this season, that I'm already hooked! I was talking to Euan, my tv buddy from uni, about who the guy could've been, and he's convinced that it's an escaped active who's gone crazy but is trying to find Echo and/or his way back to the Dollhouse. Which y'know, didn't even occur to me XD But judging from the nakedness and the dead bodies, he might be onto something! Honestly, I can't wait to find out either way.
I thought the pilot was a bit slow in some places, mainly with the exposition and when people were explaining things, but then it IS a pilot, and it was setting up the whole premise of the show for the rest of the season, so it's to be expected. The premise itself is so intriguing, and I think the whole idea of wiping someone's personality and giving them temporary transplants is crazy, but fascinating! I'm excited about the different types and varieties of characters we'll see the actives play as a result, and especially Echo. Eliza Dushku was decent and fairly good at playing her, but because I'm so used to her performance as Faith, it was a bit weird for me, haha. I thought it was inevitable that all of her characters had an edge of feistiness in them! But she was cool overall, I really liked her.
It makes me laugh that the main woman who seems to be in charge of the whole Dollhouse operation is British. Of course the baddie would be a snobby English bint :-P Oh, and Amy Acker! Her character was so weird, and a bit unsettling. She plays creepy well XD I'm intrigued by her role, I wonder what it involves. As for the others - Echo's handler could be someone I end up liking, but the scientific slightly nerdy guy who actually wipes/installs their memories is a bit annoying. And the police officer, Paul - well, he's nice-looking ;-) But seriously lol, I'm also intrigued by his character, and his whole investigation into Dollhouse, that looks like it could be interesting!
I'm just really intrigued, in general, haha. This kinda show is different from what Joss has done before, even though he has done sci-fi, but this isn't the same kind, and weirdly enough, there was a lack of trademark Whedon humour, which surprised me! Maybe that's still to come, but anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing where the show goes, I have no doubt it's going to be AWESOME.
So long as it doesn't get cancelled. Seriously FOX, I'm looking at you here. Don't you even dare.

Jane Espenson is going to write at least one episode, so hopefully there'll be some Espenson humour in it.
My current opinion on the FBI guy is that Tahmoh Penikett plays him a bit cardboardy. And I don't mean the good Cardboardy-from-here-cardboardy, but ... flat. Almost emotionless. _________________ Listening to you I get the music

Well that would work with Wynter's friend's escaped-active theory. I like that theory, Wynter, it hadn't occured to me but it's given me things to think about.
I'm very intrigued by Amy Acker's character too, she was very creepy, but I can't wait for her story to be revealed. I had the same theory as you Beagle.
I'm so excited about this show, I know that we can count on Joss to have the story and characters to develop over time, and to throw in things we totally don't expect. Not to mention that any one of our favourite characters could be unexpectedly killed off at any moment!
I trust Joss to keep things exciting.
I was impressed with Eliza's acting in the pilot. Her character at the start, before her memory was wiped (I'm trying to remember her name, and my brain is telling me Caroline. Is that right?) felt very Faithy, so my first reaction was oh no, same old character, but once she got into the new personas she was great. _________________ some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose

Yes, I watched it through that megaupload link, and I'd love the link for #2. All the official sites I've tried require you to be in the US to be able to watch it online. _________________ Listening to you I get the music

Well, Amy's scarring is revealed (and I noticed it this time). I liked this episode more than the first one, it was a lot more action. Still don't see how about anyone can find Dollhouse to hire them, but the FBI can't. Especially if they have helicopters and a small army.
And some more random notes:
- Badger was cool, as usual.
- For some reason Echo's handler reminds me of the Operative from Serenity.
- Echo's flashbacks are intriguing.
