The 'suggest some trivia' part of the website is now working properly again, click here to suggest trivia (you must be logged in): http://www.triviaguide.net/?page_id=5718.

Alternatively you can post any suggestions here.

Thanks, and happy Christmas!

J

Jess, I'm having problems with suggesting trivia again. When I try to post a new piece, the page comes up with "are you sure you want to add this post?" and when I click yes, it says "you cannot post as this user". Why?!

I had some trivia about the music used in the Angel episode Lonely Hearts, guess I'll just post it here.

- After the fight that takes place at the bar, the song Neo-Climactic by Sapien is played
- Deadside by Ian Fletcher is heard during Doyle's vision
- When Angel first meets Kate in the club, we hear Do You Want Me by Kathy Soce
- Later, when Angel bumps into Kate again, the song Lazy Daze by Marl Cherrie is played
- Emily Says by Chainsuck is the song playing when Kevin and the bartender are talking
- Quango by Helix is the song heard when the bartender hits on the girls at the bar
- The song Touched by Vast is played while Angel is searching for the killer

I had the same problem too! I cannot post the trivia because the "you cannot post as this user" message came up...

Trivia for Harm's Way:

- "Chanel's not tacky!" This is most probably a reference to Chanel No.5, a world famous Parisian perfume.
- "Wolfram & Hart has put roots down in this glamorous city that grow deep, including Yoyodyne, Weyland-Yutani and News Corp." The orientation film references Yoyodyne Industries, which is a made up company from the film The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai; Weyland-Yutani is the evil firm from the Alien movies, and News Corp. is the parent company of Twentieth Century Fox, who produces Angel.

Some trivia for Soul Purpose:

- For He's A Jolly Good Fellow
In Soul Purpose, during the scene that Spike is turned into a human, the gang sing For He's A Jolly Good Fellow. This is a well known British and American song that is usually sung to a person to congratulate him/her on a significant event.
- During filming, Christian Kane's character was named Sean, so as not to spoil the fact that Lindsay was back.
- The song playing in the strip club before Spike meets Lindsay is Junk by the Supersuckers.
- The line "like to get a bottle of hootch and listen to some Sex Pistols records with him", while a reference to 60s British punk band The Sex Pistols, is also a nice bit of continuity, of the fact that Spike is fan. They were also mentioned in Buffy's The Initiative.
- Another bit of continuity is the way Spike stakes the two vampires in the alley, with the wrist stakes. This is a copy of the shot in in City Of, in which Angel did the same thing, implying that Spike is taking Angel's place.
- Lindsay references Superman when talking about Spike: "I mean, he hasn't sewn a big red S on his chest yet, but he's getting there."
- Lindsay says "From what I hear, Angel didn't save the girl on his first mission." This is a reference to Tina, the first "helpless" person Angel tried to save after Doyle's vision. She was killed by Russell Winters (Lindsay's client).
- Spike references Star Wars when he says "Sorry Mr Vader, but I don't have an itch to join the evil Empire."
- Lorne's line "Sing out, Louise" is a reference to the musical Gypsy. The main character Louise is told to sing out because she can't sing loud.

And some trivia for Damage:

- There's continuity from Unleashed, where Spike talks about fighting a werewolf and almost losing a hand. In Damage, he loses both temporarily.
- Andrew's line "Check the viewscreen Uhura" to Angel is a reference to Star Trek. Uhura was the communications officer on the Enterprise, in Star Trek: The Original Series and the first six movies.
- The song played when Dana leaves the store is Blood, Milk and Sky by White Zombie.
- There's a reference to Star Wars, when Andrew, talking about Dana, says "Driven insane by Yoda-knows-who."
- Andrew's line about Spike's "Viggo Mortenson pectorals" could also be a reference to Lord of the Rings, in which Viggo Mortenson plays Aragorn.
- Andrew's line "giving them the full X-Men, minus the crappy third act" is a blatant reference to the comic.

Yeah, guess what episodes I just watched, lol.

Also, Jess, did you know that James Marsters and J. August Richards aren't credited for any of the episodes of season 5 of Angel?

They're credited in every episode, or at least they were on the WB and on our DVDs. They're in the opening credits (by the way, I hate the James Marsters is credited in episode one of the season, seeing as how his appearance may be a surprise to someone out there who may not know that he's going to show up.)

No, I meant, they're not credited on the trivia site, which I find a bit odd seeing as they're two of the main characters. They're on our DVDs aswell.

I get what you mean about the lack of surprise but I have a theory about why certain surprise characters are credited in the DVDs when they were originally uncredited on tv. Obviously when the original episodes are aired, actors are uncredited at the beginning so as not to spoil the surprise for the audience when they turn up (see: James Marsters in The Harsh Light of Day, Anthony Stewart Head in Two To Go, etc) but I don't think the producers (or whoever's responsible for distributing the DVDs) sees much point in doing the same for the DVDs, because they probably assume fans have already seen the show, and if not, then they know what's going to happen. Which is a fair enough assumption I guess, because it's hard to stay unspoilered in something so well-known as the Buffyverse.

Did that make any sort of sense or did I just ramble?

Hi all,
Thanks for all your suggestions. I've finally managed to fix the part of the site where you can suggest trivia, but it's now changed:

To suggest trivia:

1. Log in
2. Go to the 'Suggest Some Trivia' page in the administration panel
3. Type in your title and trivia
4. Click on ‘Publish’.

As an added bonuies, you can now also edit your own trivia.

I'll try and add in all your suggestions above today, and Wynter, thanks for pointing out that James and J. are not credited for season 5, I'll amend that.

Hey,

I'm having problems suggesting trivia. Whenever I click on the "this page" link I get the following error message:

Quote:
Name Error: The domain name does not exist.

Also, I suggested a goof a while back entitled "Twice Buffy" which you can delete, because I just saw that someone else already suggested this one ("Two Entrances"). I tried to delete it myself but I was told that I wasn't allowed to delete the entry. ;)

I have loads of suggestions for trivia and goofs/gaffes, but this is the only one I can remember:

In the episode of Buffy titled 'Seeing Red' where Spike attempts to rape Buffy, you can see his feet reflected in the bathroom mirror. As a vampire he should not have a reflection.

I tried all the other methods of suggesting trivia that have been mentioned on here but none of them seem to work. :/
