has anyone ever read this book?
i bought it on a whim at a second hand bookshop and quite aside from it being a cracker, i get the feeling that it was part of joss' inspiration for 'firefly'.
anyone know what im talking about? _________________ mmm
Never heard of it. What is it about, and is it good? _________________
I'll make a sig soon. Or I'll forget about it. Or I'll forget about it and then remember and make it. Or I'll forget about it, then remember, then forget again before I make it.
yeah im really enjoying it. its neither a space book nor a western. its actually the weaving of some stories relating to the settlement of europeans in tasmania. it has nothing to do with firefly really, except that there is a smuggler ship called 'sincerity', and its ragtag crew are trying to make their way while avoiding falling foul of the colonial rule of law.
in one way its a long bow to draw, but i just cant help thinking that this was something that joss was reading when he was dreaming up the crew of 'serenity'
