Angel related. Some thought. Something you feel strongly about, so that if someone feels strongly about the opposite a debate would take place.
Rules: 1 Don't talk about fight club
2 Talk about Angel
3. Anyone can chime in
4. Person who posted the thought and person who seems to have a lot to say in response will figure out when to end and move on. Which means one thought at a time. That is not to say that you can't later give your two cents about a thought that we have moved on from, just no starting up somethng different till we are done.
5 You can drag on for as long as your heart's content, I for one will read all you have to say.
6. DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLuB
As person who started ths up I get not to go first, so please someone have a thought!! _________________
Great idea for a thread. You're the stone nuts, Q.
Hmm...I think that the show blew what should have been the best season in season 4 by cheaply killing the Beast and mostly by cheapening Angel's being evil. He was roaming around, evil, for a few episodes, and yet he didn't kill anybody? He only killed the Beast and a vampire. I guess they didn't want to turn any viewers off to Angel for the rest of the series, but how does this make sense to do? Okay, hopefully that will get a discussion for at least a minute. _________________

Well I kinda didn't care how the Beast died so, on behalf of the writers we know it sucked but we don't care.
The ANgel being evil, me and my sis are with ya on that one. She always said she liked evil Angel the first time around. But I didn't mind him when he was in the cage. Or when it looked like he was talking to himself or just before he runs out the door in a funny way just after he got out of the cage. He says sumthing, like, I've gotta, shit I can't remember. He said to Connor that he couldn't come along, then they zoomed in on Angel and he said sumthing then rushed out. ANytime he was with our main guys was funny I think. But over all I agree with you. But I wouldn't give up those funnys for more death. Not that I'd be all weird about the killing, he is a vamp, I'm cool, but if it an either or thing. _________________
I loved the Beast and wanted more of him. I think that he shouldn't have been seen for a bit, but that the threat of him should have remained, after he blocked the sun. Maybe not, though. But making him somebody's bitca just seemed wrong, and then having evil Angel kill him by stabbing him in the back was just cheap and a serious letdown, I thought.
As for Angel, I thought that Boreanaz sort of overacted or was at least too over the top with his 'evil' impression. In S2 of the Great Show, it was a wonderful balance of humor and menace, with a focus. I realize that that's what I'm basing any other version of evil Angel on (I won't call him Angelus because I hate the act of trying to keep the two 'people' separate), but I can't help but think that this is more of what we should see in S4 of 'Angel'. Instead, what we see is not really anything like that. When he was over the top with his evil in the cage, I can buy it because he's trying to manipulate and get into their heads, but after he's out, he should be more...um...toned down, imo. I get what you're saying, though, and there is a serious amount of humor missing in S4 as it is, so any should be appreciated and desired.
