Am about an hour into the pilot - mini series and am Lurving it! I was trying to tell my friend, C, about it this morning but she got overwhelmed. There really is a lot to take in. Lots of characters with different backgrounds and agendas. Good stuff!

OK, I finished the pilot this weekend and can't wait for the next disc. So far my favorite thing is the conflict between Com. Adama and the new President. She is awesome in not nieve. I think they will fall in love for sure.. haha
And when they revealed who the cylon onboard Galactica was I screamed NO, NO, Noooo! It was a nice day and I had the windows open. I shudder to think what the neighbors must of thought. I mean, that girl, don't know all the names though, seemed so sweet.

welcome to the wonderful world of BSG beags.

i look forward to hearing your thoughts as you go
methinks there are 12 cylon models, and you've seen a few of them.... but anyone could be a cylon... even you beags! be careful

Beagle please don't read this until you've finished season 3.
Spoiler:
I've been slowly making my way through BG for a while now, and now I've just finished season 3.
All the way through, I've been marvelling at how well created all the characters are, so much so that I haven't even been able to choose a favourite- I had to choose six favourites.
And now all my favourites are turning into Cylons!!! I can't believe it! After I worked out what was happening I didn't even want to watch the last episode so that it couldn't happen! Ok, so not all my favourites are Cylons, but the ones that aren't are married to Cylons.
There's got to be some good characters left over for the humans! Or else I'm going to start gunning for the wrong side!
Sorry about the overuse of exclaimation marks. I had to vent.

I watched the miniseries on sunday and first four episodes of S1 yesterday. Although I still prefer the old series (but I guess that's mostly nostalgia...) it is better than I thought it would be.
I'm still not sure whether to like or to dislike humanoid Cylons. It makes them less 'enemyish'.
Spoiler:
Something that irritates me as well is Number 6's talking about god. She's a machine, the concept of a god is a human invention.

I've sorta slowed down with my BG watching. Not because I don't like it I've just been concentrating on a couple projects. I am only up to like episode 10.
It was funny, I was skipping through the credits and never read the part "Some of them don't know they are Cylons" haha I couldn't figure out why (I think they call her Boomer, the Asian Cylon) was doing some of the things she was them, like, ohhhh.
My list of people who just can't be Cylons:
Cm. Adama
the President
Starbuck
Apollo
2nd in command old drunk cranky guy
My list of suspected Cylons:
the President's assistant
the Dr. (just can't decide if he is 1. just crazy 2. #6 actually is in his human mind somehow, or 3. He is a cylon that doesn't know it.
#6 - I think she's a Cylon for sure ha-ha, but I'm afraid I'd do about anything she asks... I mean, dang, she is sultry, especially for a blond )

Yes, that's Boomer. Although I liked Herb Jefferson Jr.'s Boomer better. Grace Park is a fairly limited actress, IMO.

I don't think he's a Cylon, nor that he is crazy. At the moment my theory is that #6 "imprinted" herself in his brain.
One thing I liked that I forgot to mention: I really liked seeing Richard Hatch as the bad guy, it was a nice nod to the original series.

Gotta warn you guys, I had a list of people I though could and couldn't be Cylons, and I was wrong.

Spoiler:
Tigh's wife can't be a cylon. No one would manufacture such a flawed excuse for a human.
