More Randomonium FireflyI don't think I ever mentioned, but back when I started my Sci-Fi module this year, I was flicking through the module handbook and discovered that for one of the weeks, we were looking at Firefly and watching Serenity! Last week in class, I actually found out we're watching two episodes instead, Ariel and Trash, but that's still awesome. I can't wait to see how people sort of take it

There was about 6 of us in total for that class in the end - which isn't as bad as it sounds because the class was fairly small anyway. And including me, 3 of the 6 had already seen the whole show. But those who hadn't really enjoyed it, I think! They laughed at all the funny bits and seemed to get into it, so that's something. One of the girls who hadn't seen it is actually a close friend and I'd given her my boxset a little before that, so she's been watching and loving it. We had to do a creative writing exercise afterwards, either writing a guide to being a Companion, or write a newspaper article on the Ariel hospital robbery, from a anti- or pro-Alliance stance. I did the newspaper article, anti-Alliance of course

I happened to stumble across this youtube video and this better video (not that the other one isn't good, but not nearly as great, imo) tonight. I hope you watch them; I bet you guys will enjoy.

My friend Nina wrote this Battlestar Galactica (spoilers through to and including 3x17)/Firefly (post-BDM) crossover off a prompt I gave her months ago (which was the "I am the captain of my fate; I am the master of my soul" from Invictus). I didn't watch BSG, but some friends got me in the loop Anyway, just part one so far, but there will be 5-6 parts altogether.
