Ok, so, I thought I'd start a new topic in which you're supposed to choose between Oz and Tara. So I'll start by saying that I have always been a huge fan of both, mostly of Oz, but also of Tara and Willow together. Oz an Willow were just great, and Tara, well, let's be honest: Willow could never have been with another guy, so a girl was the only option, and Tara was really great, so... Bottom line: I really can't choose between the two. Am I the only one here???

Tara's my favorite character in any show, movie, book, etc., so I have to vote for her. Oz is awesome and all, but NOBODY can compare to Tara.

What do you mean by any show?

I just mean that Tara is not just my favorite character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but my favorite fictional character from anything that I've ever seen (any movie, television series, etc.)

Oké, so I guess she's your favorite actress
Did you also love the episode when Oz returns to Sunnydale and finds out about Willow and Tara? OMG, so many good quotes:
Willow, looking at Oz as he stands there in the door opening, just saying "Oz"
I absolutely love that episodes.

I cant choose as I loved both characters.
I loved Willow & Oz together but then I also loved Willow & Tara together......Willow's relationships were always so sweet and loving (with the exception of Kennedy as I really didnt like her!)

I chose Tara but the Oz character was immensely entertaining. I just feel an attachment to Tara.
I love in 5.06 Family how she is "adopted" by the Scoobies, I just fell in love.
In recollection the Oz character is almost too mature, too wise, too cool. But when watching none of that comes through to me. I never say, "Hey, A 18 yr old would never say something like that." When my friends say that I say, "A 100lb girl would never kick a 500 pound demon across the room either but, hey, get over it. hahaha"

While Oz is great (and Seth Green does such a remarkable job in the role), there can be no comparison here, at least to me. I love Tara so much, as this character means a ton to me and is someone that I can relate to very much (you don't have to be a lesbian, a witch, or even a lesbian witch to relate to her). It just makes me happy to see her show up at any point on the show, and seeing her is always great.

hard call... but i picked tara because i missed her more when she left. its awful but i think about how cut up i would have been if oz died, and it would have been less i reckon. tara willow was deeper, more real, more soul.

Hard choice, but I'm going with Tara. I know that Tara and Willow weren't actually together as long as Willow and Oz (I should mention that I came to that conclusion with some pretty dodgy counting so I may be wrong about that) but it always seemed more long term and real than Willow and Oz. Maybe it's because Willow cheated with Xander, but it never seemed quite as 'for real' as Tara and Willow.

We could say from E13 of S2 to E6 of S4 for Oz, and E19 of S4 to E8/19 of S6 for Tara, so maybe it depends on your 'ending' time. It's close either way.
I agree about Willow and Tara being more 'real', but Willow and Oz seems like a high school couple, and it makes perfect sense (even if it's not really a forever kind of thing). Personally, that's one of the things that I don't get about the Riley and Buffy complaints-not all relationships have to be a 'meant to be' kind of thing, and it'd be horribly unrealistic to see only that.

Tara! I just love her, and her and Willow make such a good couple. Their relationship brings out new sides of both of them, and Tara especially finds a family and more confidence. I love them!
Not that Wilow and Oz doesn't have its own greatness, but they're more light and they both cheat at one point... even if with Oz it's kind of an accident.

I have to go with Tara. I didn't like Oz's temper. He was usually very cool, but when he got jealous of Tara in Full Moon Rising and wolfed out, I lost some respect for him.
