What Are You Watching? With "fall" and the start of so many new shows and returns to old-but-loved shows, I just thought I'd ask what tv everyone else was into right now. What programmes do you make sure to catch every week?
Mine are:
- Supernatural
- Heroes
- Ugly Betty
- Chuck
- Desperate Housewives
- True Blood
- Gossip Girl
- Pushing Daisies
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
And I'm still planning on watching Fringe and 90210.
So what about you guys?

I watched the first (two hour) episode of Fringe. I thought it was pretty stupid, but that was only one episode.
The show's that I watch currently are:
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Heroes
Lost
24
Okay, so the last two don't come back until '09, but still.
Edit to add: And, when it comes on, obviously Dollhouse.

Oh, I keep meaning to watch that too. Y'know something that's crazy? The main guy in that, who plays Merlin, is good friends with one of my good friends from uni! It's mental!

Really?! tres cool *star struck* You should meet him and then tell everyone you know Merlin. Hehe. It's totally crazy when stuff like that happens, you suddenly find out that you have some weird link to somebody. ILike I found out a couple of months ago that one of our family friend's cousin (or something.... lol) was married to Adam Ant. Very odd.
It's pretty good (not as good as Robin Hood :p) but a little silly. But hey. I'm gonna keep watching it anyway. You should definitely try an episode and see what you think.
That's so cool though! (I'm easily amused, and so will probably be thinking about this all day and laughing about it at strange moments...)

i don't really watch tv on tv, because its too much effort to avoid the ads and football, so i just watch dvds, mostly things my brother has downloaded and then lent to me. so at the moment i'm watching heroes and entourage and occasionally old eps of curb your enthusiasm.
| marvin21st wrote: | | Iron chef (do you think Michiba is sick havnt seen him for ages) |
marv, the episodes we get in australia are actually really old, and i'm sorry to tell you this but michiba actually retired back in 1996 (yeah, REALLY old), so thats why you havent seen him.
when i do dust off my tv and turn it on, i'll watch spicks and specks, iron chef and antiques roadshow.

wow I didnt realise they are that old. Did notice that last saturday was advertised as From the vault of SBS so must have been really old. I like it best when they cook with gross things like swallows nest.

I forgot I'm halfway through the first season of Haibane Renmei, which Ildjarn recommended (and I second that recommendation).
Also I'm about to start Dexter and 30 Rock and Avatar.

unfortunately, i don't think it does. it's been a long long time since i watched it, but in my opinion it never gets better than season one. it keeps on being good for quite a while, but i think by the end it had pretty much jumped the shark.

I still haven't seen the episode in which two members of Carcass performed on Red Dwarf (bassist and drummer of 'Smeg and the heads').

Right now I am watching
Bones (obviously)
CSI
CSI NY
CSI Miami
Pushing Daisies
Dirty Sexy Money
How I Met Your Mother
The Big Bang Theory
I am also right into Miami Ink and have just purchased the DVD boxsets as well as watching the new series.
This could explain why I have fell behind on my Buffy LOL

I'm not watching that much at the mo, so it'll probably be more interesting to list the DVDs I want to get, but might never get round to:
Veronica Mars
Tru Calling
Roswell
How I Met Your Mother (as soon as I found out Alyson Hannigan AND Neil Patrick Harris were in it, I had to see it.)
Of course, still going strong with the watching and rewatching of Buffy, also Scrubs and Black Books.

My brand new addiction is True Blood.
It's like the vampires from Buffy and the murder mystery from Veronica Mars and the drama from Six Feet Under all rolled into Alan Ball's freaky imagination.
And also it's the most cliffhangery show I've ever seen. It's like a fishhook in your guts at the end of each episode. Very addictive.

Is that on free to air here?

no i don't think so, it's on hbo and it's only up to episode six, so it probably won't be out in australia for a while, but i've been downloading it.

I've been watching that too, and I was gonna say, I'm surprised there's not more love for it from our American friends, since y'know, vampires and all, and we ARE on a Buffy forum
It's brilliant though, I'm really enjoying it. Though I don't see the similarities between its vampires and the BtVS vamps, it has to be said.

yeah, i know, i don't think the vampires are similar, but you know, vampires. i thought it would give buffy fans something to relate to

I've recently been watching Beautiful People on BBC2- Thursday night, after Never Mind the Buzzcocks. If anyone gets the chance, you should definitely check it out. You don't need to have seen it before to make sense of it, really. It's so funny!

I think I'm getting Roswell - I don't know if anyone else has seen it, but is it any good? It looked pretty darn cool.
Plus, I discovered Tru Calling (which Eliza Dushku was in) and it sounds good too. Anyone seen it?

I really liked Tru Calling. The first season is mostly terrible, but it got a ton better near the end, and the six episode second season was very good.
The show was a lot of fun to watch, even the few episodes in season one that were laughably awful.
I might not make it sound like it, but it really is worth watching.

Yes, I liked it. When Jason Priestley joined the show it really got the ball rolling, IMO. Too bad they cancelled it, ther writers talked about some of the things they had planned, and some of them sounded very interesting.

Nearly all my tv shows are returning from hiatus this week, woo-hoo!
That aside, I started watching Studio 60 and I'm really enjoying it so far. Even if it's hard to keep track of the characters' names sometimes. But it's very witty and sarcastic, I like it!

Yeah Studio 60 is superb. I've just bought the box set. Such a shame it was cancelled.

Ant, I just finished watching Studio 60 and now I'm really depressed that there's no more!!!
It was such an intelligent, witty, sharp, FUNNY show with great characters, why did it have such poor ratings?!?! Again with the unfairness of good television getting cancelled while absolute pish stays on. Thanks audience.

Watched the Mentalist last night. They got me to watch by saying it was about witches and Azure Skie (Cassie from Help) was in it. But it turned out just to be another cop show and the witches weren't real. (

How I met your mother S2 on my laptop. I found out that my region free DVD player isn't region free *muttermuttermutter*.
EDIT: And after lots of attempts, I managed to turn my DVD player into a region free one. So watching S2 on TV now. And I just saw the episode with Morena Baccarin and Tom Lenk .

I watched HIMYM S2 and 3 last week. I really enjoy this show, it's light but funny.

Dresdon files is about this magician like guy along with his friend, a ghost, who are like Private Investigators. A friend told me it was good. We'll see.

I started watching this new BBC3 comedy-drama called Being Human. It's about a werewolf, vampire and ghost that all live together in London and how they go about trying to live their day to day lives. It's pretty good so far!

|
I didn't know that the Dresden Files was on TV, but I've got one of the books and have yet to read it.
Me and Ella watched the first couple of episodes of Being Human, and it was good, but we missed a couple and it just kind of fell apart a bit.
But, we have been watching Roswell (which is most very awesome) and are part of the way through the second series. Tru Calling is sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting to be watched...

I'm 2/3 through the short lived (11 episodes) Dresden Files and I Lurve it!
It's sorta like Angel. So far there have been werewolves, demons, witches, and a developing and interesting vampire mythology which includes two rival "courts", the red and the black of vampires and a really cool vampire Bianca.
I definitely recommend it.

Last week I finished watching Nana, an anime. It's about two girls, both called Nana (seven in Japanese) who meet in the train to Tokyo, and later when they're looking for a place to live. They decide to share an apartment, although they are total opposites: Nana Osaki is a punk singer, and Nana Komatsu is a flighty girl who falls in love with every boy she meets.
I really really liked this show. It's not very spectacular to watch, but it is written in such a way that I really liked both girls.
I've ordered the first issues of the manga too.
And I'm on a Ghibli rewatch. So far I've seen:
- Nausicaa of the valley of the winds
- Laputa, castle in the sky
- My neighbour Totoro
- Kiki's delivery service
- Only yesterday
The last one, probably Ghibli's least known movie, is my personal favourite. It's about a woman of 27 who goes to the countryside to work in the fields during the summer, and while working there she remembers the days when she was 10. It's a really charming and quiet movie.
Kiki's delivery service is my second favourite, about a 13 year old witch who goes to town to grow up. Because flying is the only thing she's good at, she starts a delivery service. Again, a really quiet and slow-paced movie, but Kiki and Jiji (her cat) are just perfect in their innocence.
